The history of Harlem remains intertwined with that of its immigrant residents who continue to make their contribution to various aspects of American culture including visual art, sports, culinary arts, literature, and academia. It has been an inspiration to countless generations across the Diasporas. Curated by Anderson M. Pilgrim, “Caribbean Diasporas: Harlem Migration and Identity seeks to explore the influence of Caribbean artists on contemporary art and the interconnection between their Caribbean heritage and Harlem identity and experience.

On Sunday, January 13, 2013, noted Harlem based artists Diogenes Ballester (Puerto Rico) and Ademola Olugebefola (USVI), both born and raised in the Caribbean, will be joined by gallerist and founder of Art Off The Main Art Fair, Loris Crawford (Jamaica) for a panel discussion with the theme "Caribbean Diaspora artists: Impact and Market Values". Exhibit Curator Anderson Pilgrim - Diaspora Now and Lisa Hayes Esq., Curator of Strivers Gardens Gallery will moderate.
